We caught up with our designer, Paul, and chatted about his artwork for the poster he designed for the recent Lightning Bolt show at Trinity in Bristol.

‘I had this image in mind for a while and had proposed it to several artists who felt it wasn’t right for them, this turned out to be serendipitous as when I sat down to draw a poster for lightning Bolt it made immediate sense. I saw them play years ago and they are up there as one of the loudest live bands I’ve ever seen so the idea of a giant hand smashing it’s way through the roof of a house encompassed their volume and gargantuan sound. They were a big influence on me growing up listening to music and learning to play drums so it was a huge honour/buzz to be able to come up with a poster for them.’

Stay tuned for more posts on Paul’s artwork.
